Russell Dickerson‘s “Happen to Me” climbs four spots to reach No. 9 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week. The track was co-written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Chris LaCorte, and Chase McGill, with Dickerson co-producing it along with Josh Kerr and LaCorte. “Happen To Me” earns Dickerson his sixth career Top 10 entry – and his first since “God Gave Me a Girl” peaked at No. 2 in November 2023 – and serves as a preview of his upcoming album, Famous Back Home, which is due out on August 22. Meanwhile, Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs hit collaboration, “Backup Plan,” rises two spots to claim No. 10 on the chart, marking Zimmerman’s sixth consecutive Top 10 hit and Combs’ 23rd overall. Morgan Wallen‘s “Just in Case” maintains its lead on the chart for a third consecutive week, marking the music superstar’s 10th No. 1 hit (out of 18 overall) to top Country Airplay for three weeks or more.
